Call for International Experts to Join the EIF Science Incubator

The EIF Science Incubator was established in 2022, at the initiative of the "Enterprise Incubator" Foundation with the support of PMI Science R&D Center Armenia, to be the crucial node in the chain of versatile programs to develop the scientific ecosystem in Armenia.

The main mission of the EIF Science Incubator is to ensure effective bilateral cooperation between the industrial and scientific communities through the exchange of research and knowledge and by directing and facilitating the process of science commercialization.

To achieve this mission, we are inviting International experts in the following applied research fields to join our distinguished group of global experts.

EIF SCIENCE INCUBATOR

The EIF Science Incubator was established in 2022, at the initiative of the "Enterprise Incubator" Foundation, to be the crucial node in the chain of versatile programs that are aimed at the development of the scientific ecosystem in Armenia.

The main mission and goals

The main mission of the EIF Science Incubator is to ensure effective bilateral cooperation between the industrial and scientific communities through the exchange of research and knowledge. As a result, directing and facilitating the process of science commercialization.

The activities of the EIF Science Incubator are aimed at bringing the scientific outcome from the "laboratory" to the application field and by combining it with technological solutions creating new, wide opportunities for business. The science incubator provides a creative, free, and, at the same time, multidisciplinary professional environment, for creating, experimenting, and implementing innovative ideas aimed at solving challenging problems for business.

The functions of the EIF Science Incubator

  • Articulates and clarifies the industry’s current issues for the scientific community, thereby promoting the establishment of new business-science collaborations,
  • Makes available progressive scientific and technical opportunities, and new outcomes for industry and business,
  • Brings together and concenters various interdisciplinary fields around current applicable problems, thereby accelerating and guiding the process of innovative solutions acquisition,
  • Participates in and directs the creation and implementation of applicable targeted projects,
  • Provides financing and gives access to comprehensive usage of non-financial resources for the creation and implementation of the projects.

Science Incubation Program

In the frame of the EIF Science incubator the Science Incubation Program started at the end of 2021 and is being implemented with the support of PMI Science R&D Center Armenia. Since 2022, it has already reached an international inclusion, accepting applications not only from Armenia but abroad as well.

The program is implemented in two stages:

  • During the 1st stage (duration: 1-3 months), the applicants will be working with the incubation team to refine their ideas and prepare for the pitching event.
  • During the 2nd phase (duration: 3-6 months), upon the results of a pitching event, the selected teams will receive up to $100,000 funding and access to other non-financial resources to validate their ideas and develop a prototype. Upon a successful outcome, additional financial resources and opportunities to get included in equity investments may also be available.

The main directions are:

  • Materials science, sustainable materials, materials with magnetic properties
  • Alternative non-electronic energy sources
  • Heating and heat transfer technologies
  • Neuroscience, sensorial experience, sensing technologies
  • Aerosol science and technology
  • Botanicals, Agronomy
  • Toxicological methodologies
  • Applied and experimental physics
  • Industrial and systems engineering, electronic engineering, prototyping
  • Mathematics, mathematical modeling, data science
  • Analytical Chemistry

Details of the program, including the application procedure, can be found in the “News” section of the website.
