EIF Launches Impact Acceleration Program in Partnership with C-Quadrat Ampega Social Fund and RECONOMY

 

Enterprise Incubator Foundation (EIF) announces the launch of its Impact Acceleration Program designed to identify, accelerate, and invest in early-stage tech startups creating measurable social and environmental impact.  The program is implemented in partnership with C-Quadrat Ampega Asset Management Armenia (CQAA) Social Fund, with the support of the RECONOMY program funded by the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida) and implemented by Helvetas Swiss Intercooperation, in partnership with C-Quadrat Ampega Asset Management Armenia (CQAA) Social Fund.

We are pleased to announce an internship opportunity for motivated students and young specialists to join our newly established Neurotechnology Laboratory.

This two-month internship is designed to provide hands-on exposure to contemporary neurotechnology methods, tools, and research practices, offering a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of neuroscience, engineering, and data science.

Thе internship program is implemented by the Science Incubator of the Enterprise Incubator Foundation (EIF) at the newly established Neurotechnology Laboratory within the High-Tech Accelerator in Engineering City.

Technological weekend took place in Yerevan


Technological event, which took place on July 11-12 was a real technological feast for Armenian start-ups and teams, creative and innovative youth. All were gathered by the exciting presentations on IBM BlueMix cloud Hackathon, Slush 2015 Global Impact Accelerator competition and innovative solutions organized by Enterprise Incubator Foundation in the framework of IBM Innovative Solutions and Technologies Center. The event was sponsored by “Nikita Mobile”, “Rostelecom Armenia” and “Zangezur Copper Molybdenum Combine” Charitable Foundation. 


Vulpex and Simplex received a prize of 500 thousand drams, as these were 2 of 11 teams, which participated in IBM BlueMix cloud Hackathon and were recognized the best by the jury. Brainstorm team received  an incentive awards of two smartphones.


“It is gratifying, that in spite of their young age all the participants came up with interesting and innovative solutions and IBM BlueMix platform gave greater opportunities to develop ykand present their own ideas”, said Hayk Faramazyan, the head of Rostelecom Armenia. 


“It was an interesting contest, where the teams worked diligently and we could see a serious competition. In general, cloud platform based hackathon always makes the team think in a new direction and in parallel acquire new skills”, said Nairi Nairyan, a member of Simplex team. The team had developed a social music platform, where non-professional music lovers from anywhere in the world could be involved in the process of music creation.


The local competition of Slush 2015 Global Impact Accelerator for Armenian start-ups, where 11 teams participated, was organized for the first time in Armenia during the Weekend. Paqqy, Renderforest and Chally got a unique opportunity to participate in the Slush international competition to be held in Finland on November 11-12. During the event the Armenian start-ups will have an opportunity to meet with international leading investors, managers and develop their business.


Note, that Enterprise Incubator Foundation plans to make technological weekend an annual event.


IBM Innovation Solutions and Technologies Center (ISTC) is a joint program of IBM, USAID, RA Government and Enterprise Incubator Foundation (EIF), the primary goal of which is to provide innovative technological solutions and resources from IBM for the implementation of the appropriate trainings and scientific researches and business development.
