Faculty Research Funding Program 2025
The Enterprise Incubator Foundation (EIF), with the support of PMI Science R&D Center Armenia, is excited to announce the Faculty Research Funding Program 2025. This initiative is designed to foster innovative research that addresses the industry’s current challenges, bridging the gap between academic research and industry needs.
The program aims to provide financial and systemic support to applied research projects conducted by teams from leading universities, research institutes, innovative start-ups, and forward-thinking companies.
We invite proposals in the following areas:
- Connectivity for a purpose: solutions to enable seamless and intuitive experiences.
- Novel materials and botanicals for new experiences.
- Wellbeing space: physical, mental, and social well-being.
- Advanced manufacturing & automation
The proposals should cover the following scientific domains:
Applied Physics, Material Science, Chemistry, Biotechnology and Botanicals, AI and Data Science.
Eligibility:
The program welcomes research teams who meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Consists of a research team comprising at least 3 members, at least 18 years of age, representing leading research institutes, universities, innovative start-ups, visionary companies, or other relevant organizations.
- Demonstrate a research project with applied solid value and relevance to the priority areas.
Shortlisted teams will be able to showcase their projects through an interview process.
Program highlights:
The research projects may have varying implementation periods, ranging from 6 months to 1 year, with financing of up to 6 million AMD, including all taxes and mandatory payments. Additionally, the program provides a platform for building partnerships and opening opportunities for commercializing applied research results. Selected teams will also have the opportunity to participate in exclusive community activities and collaborate closely with mentors and field experts.
How to apply?
Follow the steps to apply:
- Complete the Online Application Form;
- Prepare and attach comprehensive CVs of all team members;
- Prepare a research project proposal adhering to the guidelines
outlined in Annex 1;
- Provide proof of support and the availability of research equipment from the relevant institution(s). Please refer to the provided form for submission /If available/.
Please ensure that all application documents are submitted in English.
Deadline: The application submission deadline is February 20, 2025, 23:59 (Yerevan time).

About PMI Science R&D center in Armenia
PMI Science R&D Center was established in Armenia in 2018. Being one of Philip Morris International’s largest R&D centers in the world along with Switzerland, China and Italy, R&D Center in Armenia has the following main capabilities:
